Life Management Program

The Life management Program promotes systematic growth of the individual in a holistic manner—encompassing the physical, social and spiritual dimensions of life. This will help individuals to learn and incorporate those basic and fundamental skills to live a productive and peaceful life. This is achieved by developing skills to empower the Self towards managing stress and also to effectively utilize one precious resource: Time. The Life Management Program encompasses stress management, time management and communication management.

Stress Management

Stress constantly influences our lives. So, one must develop the skill to identify the origin of stress and how to convert stress to have a positive effect on oneself. The Stress Management workshop will give participants a three-option method for addressing any stressful situation, as well as a toolbox of personal skills, including using routines, relaxation techniques, and a stress-log system. They will also understand what lifestyle elements they can change to reduce stress. Yogic exercises, meditation and satsang, which empowers the person using his or her inner energy will be used as effective tools for stress management

Time Management

Time management is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, aimed especially at increasing effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. It is a meta-activity with the goal to maximize the overall benefit of other activities within the boundary of a limited amount of time. Initially, time management referred to just the business or work-related activities, but eventually the term broadened to include personal activities as well. A time management system is a skillfully designed combination of processes, tools, techniques, and methods. The time management workshop will cover strategies to help participants learn these crucial strategies. Participants will be given a skill set that includes personal motivation, delegation skills, organizational tools, and crisis management, all of which will be covered by experts in their respective fields.

Communication

The very essence of life itself is communication. It is the activity of exchanging—exchanging of ideas, feelings, intentions, attitudes, expectations, perceptions or commands. To have a successful and peaceful life the most important skill is to have positive and effective communication skills. Lack of effective communication skills is also the root cause of many problems in life, including diseases. At Shantigram, participants are guided to develop positive communication skills at all levels—vertical, intrapersonal and interpersonal.
